The first project, started in January, 2010, at Jennings County
High School, North Vernon, Indiana. Completed and flown July 16, 2012.
Attended Oshkosh AirVenture July 16th of that year, and in 2013. It was
also flown to Sun-N-Fun in Lakeland, Florida, in April, 2013. It is a
permanent trainer at OVO, North Vernon Municipal Airport. Significant
* First LSA built in a school
* First E-LSA approved and insured for flight instruction
* First experimental aircraft used for a solo on a pilot's 16th birthday
* Flown to Oshkosh 2013 by a student with a week-old license
EN-1 and the experiences learned during the build have become the basis
for the entire Eagle's Nest program. As of late 2013, it has
accumulated over 200 trouble-free flight hours.
