Eagle's Nest is really just a fledgling program. Even if there isn't an Eagle's Nest Project near you, there's still a whole new world to explore. The aviation industry is stepping up it's efforts to introduce more people, especially young people, to the world of aviation. From the Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagle Program which has been in operation for over a decade, to the new AV8RS program from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the industry is stepping up. AV8RS - The Pilots of Tomorrow | Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association (AOPA)

AOPA's new youth membership. Free to teens age 13 to 18, AV8RS includes the monthly digital edition of Flight Training magazine, access to members-only content on aopa.org specially directed at this age group, special AV8RS online social communities, and chances to win flight training scholarships.

Young Eagles | Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)

The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 - 17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
