Dr. Terry R. Sargent, Superintendent of Schools,
Jennings County School Corporation
The Eagle's Nest Project at Jennings County High School has become a showcase of our student talent and their inquisitive nature. Jennings County High School is one of the most academically demanding public high schools in southern Indiana, but with the advent of the Eagle's Nest Project, our students have an amazing opportunity to be involved in something only a handful of American high school students ever experience. Our students and our community are excieted and proud to have this program in our school, and we are hopeful for many years of continued experiences.

Eagles Nest 1 Student (sophomore)
This project has meant more to me than what words can put to paper. The Eagle's Nest Project has opened a window of opportunity to me that otherwise would have most likely never even opened. I have met so many great people, seen great things, been to many new places, and made friends for life because of the project. I cannot thank my instructors and authorities for starting and helping us through this project.
When this started, there was no way you could've told me I would have met the head of the space shuttle program, been featured in a newspaper, and even speak in front of over 300 people. Starting out, I didn't realize how important this really was. I only thought about myself. I knew so little about not only airplanes, but about leadership and friendship.
Now, over a year into this, I know a lot more. I've learned what a real friendship is. I've discovered an inner leader inside of myself that wasn't there before. Countless knowledge has been absorbed and I try to learn something new everyday on this project. It showed me the true importance of not only doing the best you can with everything you do, but taking pride in it as well. Even more, people have shown me that its more of who you know than what you know. That has already benefited me in school and the real world. I am eternally grateful for everything I have learned and the people I have met because of this.
This may sound like a bunch of nice things I threw together, but is definitely not. Everything I have put into this is not only true, but is my feelings about The Eagle's Nest Project and what it has meant to me. I hope to continue to put everything into this project, learn even more, and meet many more great people throughout the continuation of this project. It's been a great ride so far. Let's finish up just as strong.
